- Step 1: 1. To prepare this Albanian-style sweet pepper salad, start by slicing the green pepper pods lengthwise into 4–6 strips. Peel the onions and cut them into rings.
- Step 2: 2. Place the peppers and onions in a saucepan. Add salt, bay leaves, sugar, vinegar essence, and vegetable oil. Stir well and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes until the vegetables soften.
